Part 1: Superfood Smoothies

Hey lovelies, hope you’re having a great morning

Last week I posted my Latest and Greatest feature for the month (which you should definitely check out) and among all the protein powders, kelp noodles and cookbooks, I also talked about this incredible range of freeze dried superfood powders.

In case you missed it, the foods used to make these powders are freeze dried, which locks in all their nutrients, before they are ground into powder. This means that just one 1 heaped tbsp of the powder is the equivalent to 10-12 cups of the fresh vegetable!! Isn’t that amazing.

I’ve been trialing them over the last few weeks and now I’m ready to share my favourite smoothies with you . I have two delicious recipes to share today, a carrot and mango smoothie (using the carrot powder) and a chocolate smoothie (using the broccoli powder). Next week I’ll show you how to blitz up a green smoothie and also a berry-luscious smoothie (using the kale and beetroot powder).

So let’s begin!!


Carrot and Mango Superfood Smoothie (Serves 1)

I was definitely more than a little hesitant when it came to adding carrot powder to my smoothie, since let’s be honest it does sound kind of strange. But, after having a play, I realised that it actually blends really well into smoothies and believe it or not, you hardly even taste it, especially when it’s mixed into my tropical mango smoothie.  

I’ve loved whipping up this smoothie as a quick and easy breakfast on the go, as well as being a great way to sneak this vitamin A rich vegetable into my diet, which helps to keep my eyes healthy and my skin looking its best.



I love this smoothie with coconut milk, but you could add any nut or seed milk and I’m sure it would also be equally as delicious with some coconut water.


  • Coconut milk – 1 ½ cups
  • Cinnamon – ½ tsp
  • Medjool dates – 1-2
  • Carrot powder – 1 tsp
  • Walnuts – 2 tbsp
  • Desiccated Coconut – 2 tbsp
  • Mango – ½ cup
  • A handful of ice

Add everything into your blender and then blitz for 30 seconds until smooth and creamy. Pour into a glass and top with some coconut flakes. Enjoy.


Broccoli + Chocolate Super Food Smoothie (serves 1)

This is my absolute favourite smoothie. I mean you get to enjoy a chocolaty creamy smoothie, that’s guilt free, as well as sneaking in a whole lot of broccoli. I don’t know if you know, but broccoli is actually one of my favourite vegetables and I try to get it into my diet at least a couple of times a week. This is because its a cruciferous vegetable which is known to help prevent cancer and keep our cells healthy.



I’m loving it as a little energy booster in the afternoon …. and to help control my sweet tooth. I hope you enjoy it.   


  • 2 tsp of Broccoli powder
  • 3-4 tbsp of Cacao powder
  • 2 Medjool dates
  • 1 ½ cups of Almond milk
  • 1 tsp of Cinnamon
  • 1 Frozen banana
  • 1 tsp of Chantal Coconut oil (melted)

Blitz everything until smooth and creamy and then transfer to a glass and top with cacao nibs and pumpkin seeds. 


There you have it, two of my favourite super food smoothies using the incredible Chantal Freeze Dried Superfood Powders.
