Good morning my lovelies, I hope you’re all having a great week. And that you enjoyed last weeks first I.E Produce Latest and Greatest post for the year. It’s definitely exciting to be back into it and to be sharing with you all more amazing new products.
Remember the RAW prebiotic powders that I wrote about in my last post. Well given I know you all love new recipes, I came up with two new delicious, creamy, summery smoothies that show you how to easily add these powders into your diet.
So here we go, my two new favourite superfood smoothies for summer.
Chocolate Berry Thick Shake:
This smoothie is absolutely delicious and it’s fast becoming my favourite pre or post workout smoothie, or when I’ve got a chocolate craving that just won’t go away. Now you’ve been warned, it’s super thick and creamy thanks to the frozen banana and avocado. To me this transforms this chocolate berry smoothie into a decadent treat that tastes way to good to be healthy.
I find that all the ingredients in this chocolate thick-shake really complement each other. The cacao powder gives you a great energy boost and chocolate hit, the blueberries fill your smoothie with antioxidants, the RAW powder is rich in prebiotics which keeps your gut healthy, the spinach adds more greens to your diet, the avocado is your dose of healthy fats and the date and banana offer a natural sweetener hit. Definitely worth whipping one up one afternoon when you need an extra boost and your normal green smoothie just isn’t cutting it.
- 1 cup of water
- 2 tbsp of cacao powder
- 2 tbsp of blueberries
- 1 tbsp of RAW prebiotic powder
- large handful of baby spinach
- ¼ ripe avocado or 1 tbsp of nut butter
- 1 medjool date
- ½ frozen banana
Place everything in your blender and blitz on high for 30 seconds. Once it’s thick and creamy pour into a glass and top with a few blueberries and a sprinkle of bee pollen.
Berry Almond Smoothie:
Ok ladies, now, if the colour of this smoothie doesn’t make you smile and feel happy then I don’t know what will. I mean, just looking at this beautiful pink smoothie makes me feel lighter and healthier, as I know I’m filling my diet with so many antioxidants and goodies that I’m definitely going to be shining. This Berry Almond smoothie has become my go-to afternoon drink. It is the perfect Summer afternoon drink!
I hope you’ll love how simple and easy it is to make, and realise how something so incredibly good for you can taste seriously delicious. So why not add to your diet a dose of prebiotics and start giving your gut something to shine about.
- 1 cup of almond milk
- ½ cup of raspberries
- 1 tbsp of the women’s probiotic powder
- 1 tbsp of chia seeds
- ½ tsp of cinnamon
- handful of ice
Place everything in your blender and then blitz on high for 30 seconds. Once smooth and creamy pour into a glass and top with coconut flakes, goji berries and bee pollen.
